STEMNoire Salon: Best Practices for Creating Youth STEM Programs

Join us on Wednesday, March 20th at 7pm EST for our new STEMNoire Salon series featuring Irene Duah-Kessie and Feyisayo Enuiyin discussing best practices for creating youth STEM programs.


Irene Duah-Kessie is a multifaceted community builder, mentor, advocate, and researcher. She founded and leads Rise In STEM, a youth-led grassroots initiative committed to addressing the racial gap within higher education and STEM pathways. She also coordinates and consults on various community-based research focused on improving health and educational outcomes of youth and young women across the Greater Toronto Area. Irene holds a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from McMaster University and a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from the University of Toronto.

Feyisayo Enuiyin is a trailblazer in technology and community development, dedicated to supporting underserved youth in the Greater Toronto Area. She is the founder of Owambe and a Digital Product Manager. Her advocacy focuses on boosting underserved youth enrollment in STEM fields. She's a McMaster University alumna with a degree in Chemical Engineering graduating in 2021. where she led the development for the first scholarship for Black Canadian first year engineering students.
